RADIFER
EDDHA Iron Nutrition, Engineered for IDC (6% Fe)
A fully water-soluble microgranular 6% EDDHA chelated iron -- built to keep iron plant-available on high-pH and calcareous soils, correcting iron deficiency chlorosis in soybeans, sugarbeets, dry beans, sorghum, and other sensitive crops.
How Many Acres Do You Need to Treat?
Based on ~14.7 acres treated per 44 lb Drum (Micro-Granular, Water-Soluble).
What It Does
RADIFER pairs a 6% EDDHA chelate with an industry-high 4.8% ortho-ortho bond to lock iron in a plant-available form -- even where soil pH, calcium, and bicarbonates tie up conventional iron products. Stable in the soil. Available to the plant. Season-long IDC protection.
Why It Works
The ortho-ortho EDDHA bond shields iron from soil tie-up and stays soluble in calcareous and bicarbonate soils where conventional iron sources fail. RADIFER's dry, 100% water-soluble microgranular formulation mixes clean in the tank and delivers rapid greening response on high-pH, IDC-prone soils.
When to Apply
On soybeans (primary IDC crop), apply 2-3 lb/acre in-furrow at planting (preferred) or as a foliar rescue at first IDC symptoms. On sugarbeets (high-pH acres), apply 1-3 lb/acre in-furrow at planting with foliar rescue as needed. On dry beans (IDC-sensitive), apply 1-4 lb/acre in-furrow at planting with a second foliar application 7-14 days later if needed. On sorghum (calcareous soils), apply 2-3 lb/acre in-furrow at planting or foliar at symptom onset. On other row and specialty crops where iron uptake is limited by soil pH or bicarbonates, apply 1-3 lb/acre.
Application Rate
2-3 lb/acre (varies by crop and method)
Best Uses
- Rapid greening response on high-pH, IDC-prone soils
- Industry-high 4.8% ortho-ortho bond shields iron from tie-up
- Chelated, fully water-soluble, plant-available delivery
- Flexible in-furrow starter or foliar rescue placement
Tank Mixing & Compatibility
In-furrow: 2-10 gal water/acre. Foliar: 10-20 gal/acre (ground) or 5 gal/acre (air). Maintain at least 1 lb RADIFER : 2 gal water while mixing. Include MSO plus an acidifying adjuvant for foliar applications. Always follow label directions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What soil conditions cause Iron Deficiency Chlorosis (IDC)?
IDC is most common in high pH (above 7.0), calcareous, or bicarbonate soils, where conventional iron sources become chemically unavailable. RADIFER's 4.8% ortho-ortho EDDHA bond remains stable and plant-available across this wider pH range.
Can RADIFER be used as a rescue treatment?
Yes. While RADIFER is most effective as a preventive in-furrow treatment at planting, it can also be applied as a foliar rescue treatment at the first signs of interveinal chlorosis -- just be sure to include MSO plus an acidifying adjuvant in the foliar tank.
What rate of RADIFER should I use on soybeans?
Soybeans are RADIFER's primary IDC crop. Apply 2-3 lb/acre in-furrow at planting (preferred) for season-long protection, or use the same rate as a foliar rescue treatment at the first sign of IDC symptoms.
